How To Protect From Radiation During Nuclear Fallout?

There is a lot of fear now that the earthquake and tsunami in Japan will lead to a nuclear meltdown of the Sendai nuclear power plants. Should a nuclear fallout really occurs, the most important thing to do is to quickly protect ourselves from radioactive nuclides which are basically heavy metals. There are simple ways to detox heavy metals and they include the consumption of:

  • All types of seaweeds -- best to source them from uncontaminated waters

  • Cilantro

  • Chlorella

  • Unpasteurized miso

  • Citrus fruits

  • Vegetables from the cabbage family, such as broccoli and cauliflower. Do not over cook them. Instead, lightly steam these vegetables.

  • Take half boiled eggs

 

Unpasteurized Miso Protects GI Tract Against Radiation Damage

It is known that unpasteurized miso will help protect the human gastrointestinal tract from radiation. Use about a level teaspoon, taken once or twice daily as soup. If the person is not heaty, you can consider adding a little garlic into the soup. Garlic helps to detox the heavy metals. Care must be taken not to add too much garlic as it is heaty and may result in sore throat or heaty issues which can lead to acute sicknesses.
 


Citrus Fruits Detox Radioactive Nuclides

Another simple and effective method is the daily consumption of citrus fruits. They are highly beneficial in this regard. Basically citric acid will help the body to flush out the heavy metals through the kidneys. Citrus fruits include oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruits, tangelo, pummelo, tangarine, and clementine. Take a mixture of these on a daily basis, and try to include lemon in your consumption as it is one the important citrus fruits.

 

The key here is to include the some of the citrus peels (especially lemon peels, and a little orange peels) as these peels are very high in antioxidants, and have essential agents that help in the heavy metal chelation process. You can opt to use a blender (or juicer) and blend (or juice) your favorite combination of these citrus fruits together with other non citrus fruits. As mentioned above, add a little garlic if the person is not heaty. Fruits must be cleaned properly before eating, blending or juicing them.

During a nuclear meltdown, consume the these foods two to three times daily and each time at a moderate dosage that can be well tolerated by the individual. Avoid extremes.
